Main Housing Complex

Discovery Course is located in a beautiful wooded area just outside of Atlanta.  The location allows a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the city.  The residential setting allows residents to work on their own recoveries in a place that resembles the life that they will return too. This is a critical part of the reason that Discovery Course is the best possible recovery atmosphere.

Winter Sun

The spacious apartments are constantly monitored and staff is always close by to handle any problems or requests that the residents may have.  The safety and successful recoveries of residents are a top priority to Discovery Course staff.

Pool

The pool opens in the spring and is available for resident use until sun down. Many students find that taking a swim is an excellent way to wind down after a full day of study.

Men's Bedroom

Bedrooms are shared by two residents with a bathroom attached. Many residents personalize their rooms over the course of their stay, allowing each resident to define their own space and further enhance their recoveries.

Women's Living Room

The shared living room is a great place for residents to discuss their progress or relax and watch cable television. Each apartment has a television and a telephone for residents use. We find that this is a great place for residents to work on their communication skills with others in a semi-private setting.

Dining Area

The dining area is shared by the residents in the apartment and family style dinners are encouraged. We find that developing skills, such as planning meals, living on a budget, and cleaning aide the residents in their overall recoveries.
